Most companies look at their competitors the wrong way. They look at the product features. They look at the pricing. They look at the homepage.
But they ignore the most valuable data source available: the competitor's hidden landing pages.
When you know where your competitors are sending their paid traffic, you know exactly what they are trying to sell and who they are trying to sell it to.
You can see the exact pitch they are using to convert the traffic you are both fighting for.
Do not just look at your direct competitors
That is a trap.
Some of the biggest breakthroughs come from looking across industries. Find out what the biggest spenders in completely different markets are doing.
If you know a company in another industry is pouring massive budgets into a specific type of landing page, take that concept and apply a twisted take to your own industry.
If a massive DTC brand is crushing it with a quiz funnel, figure out how to build a quiz funnel for your SaaS product.
Look at the ads they run to that funnel so you understand the entire flow, from the first click to the final conversion.
Do not just think about the landing page in isolation. Think about the ads and the landing page as one continuous experience.
Your competitors, and the top spenders in other industries, are spending millions of dollars figuring out what works. They are doing the expensive research for you. You just need to know where to look.
