Privacy policy

Last updated: 16 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Kewise ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use kewise.com and related services (the "Service"). Kewise is a research directory of landing pages and advertising creatives drawn from publicly available advertising library data. It is not a user-testing product that analyzes URLs you submit for simulated customer sessions.

If you have questions, contact us via our support page or email [email protected].

What we collect

We collect personal data in the following categories:

  • Account information. Email address and authentication data when you sign in with email magic links or a third-party provider such as Google.
  • Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) collects payment card and billing details. We receive subscription status, customer identifiers, and related billing metadata; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Service inputs. Brand names or queries you request or import, saved pages and ads, brands you choose to track, support messages, and similar content you choose to submit.
  • Usage and device data. IP address, browser and device type, referring URL, pages viewed, timestamps, and similar log data generated when you use the Service.
  • Communications. Emails and form submissions you send us, including support requests.

The directory also contains publicly sourced advertising and landing-page information about brands and websites. That content is generally not personal data about you as a Kewise user. If such content incidentally includes personal data about others, we process it as part of operating a research database based on public sources.

How we use personal data

We use personal data to:

  • Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service
  • Create and manage accounts, authentication, and plan entitlements
  • Process subscriptions, payments, and billing communications
  • Respond to support requests and other messages
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
  • Send transactional messages related to your account or subscription; send product updates only where permitted

We do not sell your personal data.

Legal bases (EEA/UK/Switzerland)

Where the GDPR or equivalent laws apply, we process personal data on these bases:

  • Contract. To provide the Service you request, including accounts and paid subscriptions.
  • Legitimate interests. To secure and improve the Service, prevent abuse, understand usage, and operate our business, unless overridden by your interests or rights.
  • Legal obligation. Where we must retain or disclose data to comply with law.
  • Consent. Where we ask for consent (for example, certain optional cookies or marketing), which you may withdraw at any time.

How we share data

We share personal data with:

  • Service providers that help us run the Service, such as payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, hosting and storage, authentication providers, and analytics or error monitoring tools we use from time to time. These providers may process data only on our instructions and as needed to perform their services.
  • Professional advisors and authorities when required to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

We do not share personal data with third parties for their own independent marketing.

International transfers

We may process and store personal data in Denmark and in other countries where we or our providers operate. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA/UK/Switzerland to a country without an adequacy decision, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, where required.

Retention

We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Billing records may be retained longer where tax or accounting rules require.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise these rights, contact us via support or [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

If you created an account, you can also update your email or close your account by contacting us. Closing an account may not delete all records we must keep for legal or billing reasons.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies as needed to operate the Service ‐ for example, session and authentication cookies. We may also use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect Service functionality.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
